Go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Internet Options...' Click on the 'Privacy' tab at the top of the box. You can then either move the slider downwards until it says 'Low' or click on the 'Advanced' button, select 'Override automatic cookie handling' and then select the 'Accept' radio button in the 'First party Cookies' column. Click 'OK' if you are in the advanced cookie handling box and then click 'Apply' in the 'Privacy' dialogue followed by 'OK'.
Go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options'. Click 'Privacy' (padlock icon) at the top of the box. Place a tick in the box next to 'Allow sites to set Cookies' followed by another in the box next to 'for the originating site only'. Click 'OK'.
Go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Preferences...' Click on 'Privacy' (located towards the bollom of the left-hand panel under 'Network'). Place a tick in the box next to 'Enable cookies'. Further options can be set in the two selection boxes below: the selection made in the top box must allow the browser to accept normal cookies.
Go to the 'Safari' menu and select 'Preferences'. Select the Security icon (padlock) and then select the 'Always' or the 'Only from sites you navigate to' radio button next to 'Accept Cookies:'. Close the 'Preferences' box.
