After two years of restoration using traditional Moroccan skills and materials, Riad Ksiba received its first guests in March 2004. The project has been designed and supervised throughout by the distinguished Moroccan architect, Najib Tabiai, and it is to his credit that Riad Ksiba has been given a 'FIRST CLASS' licence to operate by Marrakech's tourism authority.
Its position in the heart of the Kasbah provides magnificent views over the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas mountains (4165 metres). It is only a short walk from the sixteenth-century Saadian tombs, the Royal Palace and the bustling streets and alleyways of the medina. Riad Ksiba, however, is in a quiet location, yet has easy access - by car or taxi - to the 'new' town, the airport and elsewhere. |
